RMLV – Responsible
Management of Licensed Venues
Its the Law
On 1 January 2009, all nominees prior to the
changes to the Liquor Act 1992 becoming effective are deemed to be approved
managers until they complete the Responsible Management of a Licensed Venue (RMLV) and RSA training (if not already obtained) and apply to be
approved managers.
As at 30 June 2010, all deemed approvals will
expire and must have completed an RMLV course and RSA course.
Applicants for licences and for approved
managers who apply after 1 January 2009 will be required to have RMLV and RSA training completed prior to any final
approval being granted.
The course will cover
all OLGR required topics including:
- Legal Framework
- Noise management strategies
- Licenses and permits
- Safety management strategies
- Patron management strategies
- Risk Management
- Benefits of good management
- Best practice management
- The license document
Who can do the
training?
The course is mandatory for all persons applying for a liquor licence, who have
not held a license before or have not been a nominee (prior to 1 January 2009)
of the business in the last three (3) years.
Other staff can benefit from doing the course
including:
- Managers – Assistant, Food & Beverage, Bar &
Duty Managers
- Supervisors
- Trainee Managers
- Interested Senior Staff Members
